Pro-D Day Fun
Every Pro-D Day the community offers a variety of fun activities for children and youth to enjoy on their day off from school. Participating businesses and clubs offer special prices, unique opportunities and sometimes even free things for kids to do. Past activities have included gymnastics, billiards, bowling, skating, swimming, first aid instruction, astronomy, art and much more!
Pro-D Days for 2009/10 are: October 23rd, January 29th, February 26th, March 26th and April 30th
Keep your eyes open for the Pro-D Day Fun posters on this page and check your child’s school newsletters for a summary of Pro-D Day activities. For more information on Pro-D Day Fun activities call the Community Services Department at 250-561-7640.

Get Involved
If your business or club is interested in providing activities for Pro-D Days please call the Community Services Department at 250-561-7640. There is no cost to have your information included in the Pro-D Day Fun flyer, but the activity must be especially designed for children or youth during Pro-D Days (in other words, not a regularly scheduled activity).

Youth of the Year Awards
The City of Prince George annually recognizes youth volunteers who have made outstanding contributions to their community.
The recipient of this award is presented with a certificate, a personal plaque and will have their name engraved on a plaque, which remains on display at City Hall. The award will be presented at a Regular Council Meeting in June.
