ForesTree Fest 2005
The local community has created a positive response to effects of the mountain pine beetle epidemic with the first ever “ForesTree Fest”. The festival is a community-based initiative supported and organized by a number of local residents, groups, agencies, businesses and the City of Prince George, which will help to have trees replanted in those parks that were negatively affected by the beetle infestation.
Interested members of the public are invited to comment on the park rehabilitation plans at a public comment forum on August 17, at the Aquatic Centre in Exhibition Park, between 6:00pm and 8:00pm.
