Prince George Centennial Trails Project
The Trails Task Force was formed by Prince George City Council in late 2005 as a means to review the status of the City Wide Trails Master Plan. The Task Force is comprised of trails enthusiasts who have a mix of backgrounds, interests & perspectives.
The terms of reference for the Task Force endorsed by Council are as follows:
- Prioritize trail developments
- Identify barriers to implementation
- Outline required works (& costs)
- Identify issues
- Identify potential funding sources
In order to meet the terms of reference the Task Force reviewed past work, identified both challenges and accomplishments to date, visited a number of peer communities and consulted with Prince George residents. The Task Force has attempted to keep Council informed throughout its mandate. This Final Report brings to completion the work of the Task Force as described in its terms of reference.
